lovethatgrey
{Feel-good-00020114} I tried this today and both pionus and african grey gave these 2 talons up! A parrot owner on another site shared her recipe. Instead of corn flakes.. I used grated coconut and finely slivered almonds. Instead of the diced apple I added pomegranate pips. It was a very big hit! 1 large sweet potato baked until soft 1/2 cup raisins 1 small banana 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables thawed 1 cup diced apple 1 1/2 cups corn flakes 1. In food processor, puree sweet potato, banana, apple and mixed vegetables. When smooth, add corn flakes and puree until smooth again. 2. Stir in raisins with wooden spoon. 3. Roll into small balls and freeze. They will keep about 6 months in the freezer. Defrost to serve.

judygram
We didn't raise any sweet potatoes this year but hubby says next year for sure, I love them and so does Josey. I am going to try this recipe, Josey should dive right in as sweet potatoes is one of her favorites. Thanks Adina for sharing it with us.
JillyBeanz
Phew! I thought this was a posting by Victoria Beckham - but realised that she's famous for her "golden balls"! I forgot to post that I tried this on Saturday - but left of the raisins as Harvey hates them - he loved them! Thanks for this Adina - I'm always looking for something to make Harvey to entice him a little more xx
