Harness for Mocha

I bought a new harness for Mocha. He dislikes it and trying hard to get rid of the harness.

I'm not surprised!! You have got it all twisted!! I think it might be a little too big for him too!

 

Laughing asides - Harvey bites his all of the time - I just try to distract him. It does say in the DVD that it's a foreign object and they do try to preen around it and things to make it feel more comfortable and "fit in" with the rest of their bodies.

 

It's lovely to see new pictures of Mocha - he is beautiful - those feathers are so shiny.

I used to put Koko's harness on Mocha. There were no problems then except his foot always get caught on the belt part because the harness was too big. I had not used the harness on her for almost a month. That's why Mocha is rejecting it now.

Awww Mocha is adorable. He must trust you to be able to have gotten the harness on him. He really is twisting it up to show it he is the boss. It makes me wonder, is he considered a softbill? Does he have the ability to give a hard bite?

Mocha will get use to it once he figures out that it's his ticket to the outdoors!

It wasn't easy to put the harness on Mocha after a long layoff. Hill Mynah is a softbill but his bill is not soft. His peck and bite are real hard. Mocha tried to pull a mole out on my chest. You can't imagine the pain Mocha inflicted on me.

 

I went to a pet shop to test out the strength of an adult mynah's peck. He punched a hole in my finger with just one peck.
