mikio
Hello All, Quick question, is there any need for concern if my TAGs talens got hot all of a sudden? In fact, even her beak. CA weather has been up and down lately, making it difficult to decide on a fan or a heater, so today I used neither. It was fairly a nice day, and I wasn't out for long, but when I got back, I noticed her talens and her beak were hot. Her character hasn't swayed any. She's still happy-go-lucky. She was heating, drinking, playing, etc. Any thoughts? Any comments? Help!!! Regards, Mikio
judygram
Their body temperature is higher than ours and therefore their talons and beak might feel very warm to the touch but if you were out in the sun maybe that was why her talons were hot, the sun warms up anything it shines on. mikio
Thanks for the advice. I figured there was nothing to worry about. It's just that she got overheated in a blink of an eye. Odd since she wasn't in the sun, nor was her room too terribly heated. It's been hotter, but never has she been like this.
Char
I notice this in Whisper sometimes too. I wouldn't worry about it.
Joolesgreyuk
...just make sure she has plenty of fresh water, iced water might be an idea if it is hot.

mikio
Joolesgreyuk, My birds have plenty of water, inside and outside of their cages, and they are misted every 15 minutes on hot days. Everything is on timers based on an auto barometer. I just love technology. This is why I was concerned, but not now. Regards, Mikio
