I am new to this forum. I am currently looking for an African Grey. I don't really want to get one from a pet store because there are just so many unanswered questions and we want this bird to be part of our family. Not saying you can't get a good one, but it is a huge undertaking and I want to start out with as many positives on our side as I can. If anyone knows of a good breeder in southeastern MI, I would really appreciate hearing from you. I have a cockatiel already and he is our only pet. Thanks in advance. So happy for this site - I want to learn as much as I can before I get one. Thanks!

Hi otstudent2007 and welcome to the forum. You will find all the information you need in this site to help you in your quest to learn all you need to know about greys and help you bring up a baby to your best ability.

 

There will be so many things you didn't realise - I learn something new every day from this forum alone.

 

I can't help with the breeder though (live in the UK) but others may live in your area.

As Jilly has said, there is a lot to learn when taking on a grey, and if there is anything you need to know that you can't find here, just ask - someone will most probably have the answer!
