New Travel Cage

Well before I had Beau, I had already decided on a travel cage for Dixie, and with him going to the vet tomorrow it's arrival today was perfect!

 

Here's a quick pic!

 

 

It's from Kings cages and is completely knockdown - was very easy to assemble and is lightweight enough that I can carry it without any problems.

That is one nice looking travel cage, I may have to check that one out and get it for Josey, I have one I use for her but I need another and that is just what I need, thanks for sharing the pic with us.

I have this cage. It's a King's aluminum cage. I purchased it in case we ever needed to evacuate quickly and meant to use it as a travel cage.. frankly I find it too cumbersome.

 

Instead we use it as an infirmary cage or a nite cage if needed.

 

Beside's the above it is a very good cage, very esthetic, spacious and seems to be well constructed. Ours is a silver blue colour.

Well I've now bought two more of them - one same size (for Dixie) and one a little larger (for Sterling). It has worked great as an infirmary cage for Beau during his confinement and keeping him low as prescribed by the vet. I've got it set beside my bed for him at night and he's doing very well not chewing while in there. I wanted it for an everything thing "just in case" cage. Living on the coast in South Carolina evacuation is a major probabilty and they stack up nicely in my suburban. While carrying Beau to the vet in it is a bit cumbersome, it is working very nicely for us.

 

As far as traveling - they will work great when we take off for the mountains in January, a romantic week for me and my hubby and the birds.
