JillyBeanz Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Well, here it goes! Do parrots blush? :blush: I swear that when I told Harvey off before the area around his eyes (the bit that isn't feathery - sorry, I'm so untechnical) went a little "pink" - like a naughty little child! Am I imagining this!!! I think this has to be the stupidest question I have read on this forum and apologise now - I will accept the stupid hat this week!! :lol:
danmcq Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Not a bad question at all Jill. :-) As Judy said, yes they do. :blush:
JillyBeanz Posted October 8, 2009 Author Posted October 8, 2009 So, now that the King & Queen have answered my question - I don't feel so stupid! And I now know that all of you are on a mission to embarrass your parrot!! Thank you for confirming I'm not totally loopy :kiss:
katana600 Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Ummm Jill, nobody excluded that you could be totally loopy, that is why Harvey blushes more than the usual companion grey. LOL.
Joolesgreyuk Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Have you wondered if they are humouring you Jill? {Feel-good-0002006E}
judygram Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Take my word for it, greys do blush, now the question is are we pulling your leg?:whistle: :laugh:
lovethatgrey Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 yes the area around their eye will blush during intimate moments.
Janfromboone Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Tobie blushes when he tells a joke but no one laughs.
JungleDreamz Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 That is no stupid question! I have one too, Do they blush when they are mad or nervouse? Or when they are happy and sharing an intimate moment with you like "lovethatgrey" said? My grey will blush in the shower, lol I always thought it was for happy times, but someone with a Blue and gold Macaw, said they blush when they are mad or nervous, I just dont know now...
rbpittman Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 my question - are you blushing while asking this?

Luvparrots Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 :blush:And I almost missed this thread!!!! How embarrassing!!!!:blush:
JungleDreamz Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 YES to which one Danmcq? Mad and nervous or happy and intimate??? Sorry If I am misunderstanding you, I am slow in the morning, lol
danmcq Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Yes to all. :-) I have seen them blush when happy, angry, spoken to all lovey dovey and even for no apparent reason etc. but I am sure it is in response to something. :-)

Post edited by: danmcq, at: 2009/10/08 15:51
judygram Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Its so cute to see them blush for whatever reason but I would like to think it was for love:kiss: B)
JillyBeanz Posted October 8, 2009 Author Posted October 8, 2009 Harvey blushed because I was telling him off! He'd just put his beak (AGAIN) through my lampshade!!
Debandbella Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Brilliant question!!! I shall be scrutinising mine for blushes from now on! :laugh: :laugh:
