I have a 4 month old grey. Is it okay to feed him his fruits and vegtebales by hand even though he is weaned. He loves me feeding it by hand. He bobbs his head up and down and stares right at me like a baby.

Yes, many Greys like still being handfed when that young and some like it at times forever. :-)

thanks. How do i get him to eat his pellets. I leave them in the cage all day. It seems that very little are touched. I mix the zupreen fruity blend and vegteable blend. He does eat them. Maybe 1-2. I feed him in morning and at night. I really dont want to give him seeds

Stick with the pellets. If he's wanting to get fruit and nuts handfed from you, throw in a pellet or two.

 

At four months, he's still experimenting with food, so be sure to keep some variety in there.

 

I'm sure others with younger birds than I will have some recommendations to add.
