jessdecutie18
So I know, it's part of the Air Force, leaving home for training and deploying... but I just found out that I will be gone the entire month of Feb. for training in Mississippi... Of course I will miss my husband... and I will also miss my baby Yoshi! My husband doesn't really want to take care of her either, he just plays with her I do all the care. So the lodging on base houses pets (some of it) but I don't know if I'm allowed to PCS with a pet anyways. Plus, it will be a 10 hour drive... I've taken Yoshi on 30-40 minute trips in her pet carrier and she is totally fine, but that long of a trip? PLUS her cage is very large, so I don't think it would fit in my car and I don't have a truck... It's looking like I'm probably going to have to leave her, but I don't want to... Luvparrots
I hope you can work something out for Yoshi. If you were in Washington, I would watch her for you. Hopefully your husband in a pinch will be able to care for her. Fingered crossed for you Jess.
jessdecutie18
The breeder/store lady I bought her from babysits her birds for $5 a day, which is great, and we will be doing that for christmas and little trips, but she has so many birds that Yoshi won't get much quality time, and a month is a long time... Thanks luvparrots
rbpittman
I wish you were in Charleston, I would bird sit for you as well. Unfortunately Patrick is just a bit south for me. Things will work out fine, and your hubby will step up and put his man panties on I'm sure!
dhorje
You can put your Grey in a smaller cage for the trip and buy a collapsible big cage which you can fit into your car.
