JillyBeanz Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 For the past week or so Harvey has been mumbling and grumbling, but with no great formation of anything - but for the last couple of nights, it's as clear as day - He's saying "Hello". It's still in that gravelly, mumbly low tone, but I think he's on his way!!! YAY!!! He's been really vocal this week, with all different noises we haven't heard before, whistling, squawking, grumbling, then "Hello" thrown in the middle. I've sat here for the past 10 minutes and he hasn't shut up! I'm really excited - it would have been fine if he was a grey who didn't talk - but it looks like he'not not going to be!! I'm surprised though that his first words aren't "Harvey, no!". I'll have to mind my Ps and Qs from now on eh?
she Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Well done Harvey.He will soon have you demented with the constant chattering.Not that we really mind. Its great when those first words form.
Char Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 That's fantastic and so exciting. I think we all go through that "when are they going to talk" phase and then the flood gates open and you can't shut them up. Right now Whisper is in the other room yak, yak, yak all by herself.
danmcq Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Thats wonderful and exciting Jill, Congratulations!!! Thanks for sharing this special moment with us. :-)
Luvparrots Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Congratulations to Harvey. I remember those first words from Ana Grey. Now the fun really begins!!!!
glitterysparkle Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 YAY!! Congrats Harvey, so exciting!:woohoo:
JillyBeanz Posted September 13, 2009 Author Posted September 13, 2009 Right - how do you turn them off!!!! Goodness me!! Where's the on and off button!!! He thinks he's a right smarty pants now!! Arun - he's nearly 9 months.
Acappella Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Sadly, there is no off button. You can hit 'pause' with the presentation of a favourite treat;) You wanted a talker, here he is. Another case proving the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for"{Feel-good-000200A2}
