are toilet roll tubes save as some have ink inside them

I would say no...mainly due to the adhesive that keeps the tube together. I have read that toilet paper/paper towel rolls are glued together with an adhesive that contains zinc which is toxic. Stick with birdie bagels or chew toys made from paper/cardboard just for parrots.

If you do a search here, you will find both sides saying Yes, their safe, and no they are not. My rule of thumb is to err on the side of caution. I don't allow my birds to play with them because of the worry of glue, just in case....you never no where some companies try to cut costs by buying out of the country a cheaper unsafe glue to save $$.

I like Talon like to err on the side of caution, you just never know and there are other substitutes for cheap toys.
