Supernova Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 No!!! it is still going to be used over Crimbo.
katana600 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Bernie, it is the work of your babes to pick on you, you were just getting ahead of us by doing it yourself. The boat is in good form now, it is the operator who needs the tune up.
JillyBeanz Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Supernova wrote: No!!! it is still going to be used over Crimbo. So, have you fitted the adaptation of the bottom of ice skates? What happens when the pond freezes - I can see a big crash happening!!!
Luvparrots Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Is Crimbo Christmas Bernie???? Am I right, sorry but you have to help out your American Babes with the language barrier sometimes.
Supernova Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Yes Crimbo is Christmas
Supernova Posted December 17, 2009 Author Posted December 17, 2009 A quick update. My engineer has made a new prop shaft out of super hard steel and new bearings out of phosphor bronze. This will be installed on Sunday. The new fuel mixture is being used next time and we should see a vast improvement in speed and handling. The TOY is run in now

Supernova Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 I am now sorted with a brand new stainless steel prop-shaft and phosphor bronze bearings, A new greasing system and more powerful batteries for the servos so after some more meticulous engineering also the new fuel mix next time out will be ALL OUT !!!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
katana600 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 "The new fuel mixture is being used next time and we should see a vast improvement in speed and handling." Just what kind of fuel is Elaine giving you Bernie, you may be able to increase your speed, but handling is still being done by Bernie-one-thumb, or did you hire a real driver? Bah that is baby ice, I've been swimming with that little crust of ice on the water, you cream puff. Wade in there and blaze a trail, I want to see that video.

Supernova Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 I will get my nephew to film it, so if it crashes you will see it here
JillyBeanz Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Great! Love a good crash - especially when it stars the completely, un-named boat that has been promised a christening for the last six months!
judygram Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I for one do not want to see a crash, I just want to see the speed and no Tiggs on the bow either, poor kitty. :cheer: :side:
Luvparrots Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 No crashes Bernie!!!!! Be safe and have video!!!!!
