CatSnack Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 is it ok to touch my birds beak? if i start doing that will she stopp asking for affection by me stroking the back of her neck? she seems to like when I touch her beak. Does any one have any suggestions?
Luvparrots Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Birds use their beaks for a variety of things. I occasionally pet Ana Grey on the beak. When I do she usually lowers her head for a neck rub. She loves neck rubs.
judygram Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Yes I think you will find your grey will like very much having her beak rubbed, I rub Josey's every day, their beak is sensitive to being touched so by all means do it.
CatSnack Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 I think she likes her beak rubbed but now she won't let me rub her neck anymore. Do you think it is becuase i am rubbing her beak or because she is stressed with all the moving?
judygram Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Just give her a little more time, most if not all greys love having their neck scratched and she will again, maybe she is just loving the beak rubbing so much she is accepting it more at the moment so be patient.
