CatSnack
Also I think she is molting. She is scratching a lot and losing a lot of the soft gray feathers under her large ones... I don't know if that has anything to do with her sneezing....
ranaz
No thats perfectly normal, this is not molting, its called preening, they do that a lot, they rub their back (preening gland) and preen their feathers. The small soft grey feathers that fall are normal, this is how the big feathers grow, you will get used to that. About sneazing, are you sure shes not in a cold drift area, greys like warm weather, just be sure shes in a warm spot at the house. {Nature-00020095}
judygram
That definitely sounds like she is molting but it is normal for them to lose a few feathers from time to time and you can help her by bathing her at least twice a week, take her into the shower or mist her to get her soaked, it will help with her dander. A lot of us also use aloe vera juice to spray on them maybe right after a bath, it softens their skin and helps with the itchies.
danmcq
Judy and Ranaz are spot on. Most Greys right now are going through varying degrees of a molt, as are other Parrot species. Sneezing is normal too,as long as no discharge is present. They get dander and perhaps some dust particles in their nares like from food your feeding them as they nuzzle their beaks through the food trying to find the one little morsel they want. :-) It's GreYt to see you asking questions related to your greys health. Your a good Parront!!
