Plink
I'm looking at having a few different types (wood, rope, etc.) of perches for our young timneh when he/she comes home :cheer: at the end of the month. Can someone help me out with what diameter I should use? 3/4 or 1 inch? Also, do you find your bird likes swings? tia, Plink
Luvparrots
Having different diameters for perches is great for our fids. Get both. My Ana Grey has a couple of swings she enjoys them occasionally. She mostly enjoy sitting and climbing over her cargo net that hangs in front of my office window.
Eckobird
Yea I think both sizes would be good for your TAG. My grey loves his swings. He has 3 swings throughout the house and he plays on all of them everyday.
judygram
It is best to vary the size and shape of perches to keep the feet and talons in good shape, if their feet stay on the same size perch all the time then they may stay that way permanently. They should have wood, rope and cement like perches and of course some do enjoy swings and those boing things.
