Joolesgreyuk
What is it about pomegranite that brings out Beau's artistic streak? He suddenly thinks it's a great idea to re-decorate the house in red dots! The bl@@dy stuff gets everywhere and there was I thinking I was being clever by protecting the carpet with newspaper. Grrr
BaxtersMom
Oh that's a good one. I didn't realize how "artistic" greys were when I got Baxter but he can be quite artistic himself. I liked you comment about you being clever with the paper on the carpet. They are always one step ahead it seems. Atleast they are at my house. :silly:
JillyBeanz
I haven't given Harvey pomegranate yet - but he has enough target practice with strawberries, cherries and grape juice! I am sure now he "aims" his mess towards the nearest slat of my blinds that he hasn't maimed already! To think how house proud I was before "my little darling!!!" came into our lives!! Joolesgreyuk
Oh yeah I can relate to that Jill lol! Guess I'm lucky that Beau doesn't like strawberries or raspberries and his table manners are pretty good with cherries but give him pomegranite and...
Luvparrots
I bought Ana Grey her one and only pomegranate when she first joined my family. At $4 a pop I think I will save her next one for a treat for her 10th birthday!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/07/30 21:
judygram
I haven't given Josey the priviledge of enjoying a pomegranate yet, guess I am too chicken to try it, who wants a bloody mess to have to clean up, maybe I can try it in the shower.
Codys Mom
awwww my KC loves pomegranate right now we don't have any in season but when we do KC has some every nite,I mix the juice and the seeds in with his veggies so the mess isn't to bad, just cutting it up and getting the seeds and the juice out is the bad part but I tape newspaper above the sink and cut it up in a bowl the newspaper helps alot, it's all worthe it to make him happy this year I have a quaker and tag so 3 eating pomeragranite might be a real mess
Joolesgreyuk
Want my advice Judy? Don't bother. Can't see Beau being given another in the near future lol! Ended up I had to wash my cream-coloured curtains again which I'd laundered quite recently. Grrr
Tycos_mom
My birds love them also and most of the birds are fairly neat about eating them But Tyco shakes her head every time she takes a bite what a mess it must be a Grey thing. They really are the messiest birds I've ever owned.

judygram
Eureka, when they become cheaper or I find them on sale I will put them in their travel cages and set them outside in the shade and let them make a mess, then all I will have to do is hose down the cages and voila, no mess, you think:blink:
