KDK241
Hello. I just wanted to put a couple pics of my CAG Nori and the rest of my flock. I just got Nori 2 weeks ago and while I wanted a grey so bad I was so nervous to bring him home. He's 20 years old and has adjusted very quickly and he talks, and talks and talks. He also loves to bark at my dog and meow at her which drives her nuts since she doesn't like cats. He will also throw his food out of the cage and watch her run after it. Needless to say he's been great so far! The only problem is he doesn't like to come out of the cage and is severely cage bound. He was at his last home for a year and she said before that he pretty much stayed in his cage for his previous 19 years. He's great once he's out of the cage though. Anyways, I could talk about my birds all day so here are the pics, lol. For some reason it won't allow me to add a signature on here so here is everyone! (Minus the finches..I couldn't find there pics.)
judygram
You have some beautiful birds Katie and Nori is very handsome, thanks for sharing some pics of your flock. Since you have only had Nori for a couple of weeks it will take much longer for him to get over being cage bound if he ever gets over it completely. He needs to see you and the rest of the family having fun and maybe one day he will want to be right in there with you, just leave his cage door open and he will come out in his good time, just be patient with him. He is 20 years old and set in his ways so some things you will just have to come to accept as him being him for he isn't going to change much. I have 2 Greys, 1 yellow crowned Amazon, 1 Severe Macaw, one Indian ring Neck, and 1 Green Cheeked Conure. and in two weeks or less I will be bringing home a new Harliquin Macaw 4 of my birds are rescues. the other 3 where baby's when I got them. KDK241
I found where to put the signature but it says that this information is not viewable in profile. He did come out on his own the other day and stayed out for a couple hours. Most of my tiels are rescues and have cage bound issues so it's nothing I haven't dealt with before, just not with such a big bird. All of my birds are adopted except for Dino, Ellie and Bugsy. They were a very unexpected clutch from Moe and Chloe when they laid eggs a week after I got them. Other than that the keets I got at the humane society, Zeke is 6, Sophie is 12, Moe and Chloe I have no idea but guessing older cuz Moe is going blind:( , Dino, Ellie and Bugsy are 1 1/2 and Monty is 11. Mindy I adopted from a rescue and is probably around 6-7 so yes, it's a zoo here! I just moved into a 2 bedroom place so the birds finally have their own room which is very helpful. They still have free roam of the house and I like to keep all my birds flighted if possible. I just finished their room a couple weeks ago and have plenty of play areas to keep themselves occupied. Plus I work from home so everyone is out all day long.
