JungleDreamz Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 So I went and got Ecko his first "Big Boy" toy, lol, That just meaning it is the biggest toy I have gotten him yet...I was SO worried he would HATE it, You know how our fids can be, It was over 20 bucks, so I was like, I sure hope he likes it! lol, Well, He does! I am so happy! Yay! He is growing up so fast Here are 2 pics of him playing with it It is SUCH a cool toy!
Tycos_mom Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 wow what a great toy i love it thats the kind of toy I need to hang in my birds Atom they seem to really like to destroy any of the wooden toys I hang in there really quickly mabie somthing like that would last a bit longer.
JungleDreamz Posted July 20, 2009 Author Posted July 20, 2009 Yeah, I wish I had an Atom, It would be PERFECT for it!
Perch Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Gracie LOVES toys with the little white balls like the ones shown in the picture. Sometimes I shove almonds through the holes....and she actually hangs on the toy to get at them! [Of course this encourages destruction...but she seems to like it.]
judygram Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Thats a really cute toy, I have found that Josey likes those white balls too especially ones that have something in them, she promptly chews them apart, thanks for sharing a couple of pics of Ecko's new toy.
Luvparrots Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Great looking toy. My fids love those little golf practice balls! They think it's great fun to pitch them over their cage tops and watch me retrieve them all!!!!! Where did you get Ecko's "Big Boy" toy, Hannah?
Eckobird Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 What a cool toy!! I'm glad Ecko liked it. Great pics of your big baby!
Joolesgreyuk Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Great toy and great pics too! One thing I have learnt is the bigger the toy the harder it is to destroy lol! Karma to you for spending big bucks on Ecko's new to
JungleDreamz Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Thanks guys! He still is loving his toy, He plays with it all the time...He hasnt gotten very destructive yet, I guess cuz he is still so young. I got it at Petsmart...They have the best selection of bird toys around where am at without having to drive an hour away. Thats a good idea about putting goodies in the little balls, I am going to try that today!
Lyric Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Looks like Ecko is really enjoying himself. I bet he loves the bells, mine really love them. Now you're going to have to figure in your monthly budget for new toys so you can rotate them and keep him entertained.
myafricanqueen Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Very nice! Looks like your Fid is havin fun!! I actually am quite lucky as we have a elderly couple just out of town and little ways that makes toys quite like these and they are VERY reasonably priced. Usually the biggest one and its BIG is $15.00... Dalia loves them... So does Connor my Conure.
danmcq Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Cool and BIG toy. That will keep him busy for a while. Thanks for sharing this with us. :-)
