Tycos_mom
Jeeper has decided that he loves being with me and wants to hang out on my shoulder allot Fergie has decided that she doesn't like him always being on my shoulder and has taken to screaming at him saying get off go away. Jeeper seems to take it all in stride and is being as sweet as can be he's so gentle and preens my face and hair and love haveing his pin feathers pinched as there are so many of them on his neck and head he will sit for hours and let me preen his pins for him what an adorable baby he has become. its totally amazing the transformation. Luvparrots
You are amazing Pat how you can manage all your sweet flock. My two are a handful for me and I admire your capacity to be so loving and generous to five! Ana Grey sneaks up on Sully and tries to beak his feathers and Sully always lets out a shriek and rears up. I have to rush to save them from each other. I so fear Sully actually nailing Ana Grey with his monster beak. I am the referee at least once a day if I am not vigilant. How do you do it??? Char
I too have often wondered how Pat does it. All I can think of is she must have a heart as big as the sky and the patience of a saint.
Tycos_mom
I do my share of playing referee myself especialy with Adaya she doesn't know her place yet so I have to really watch when she's out. Plus the fact that 3 of my birds are mature Tyco 6yrs old Jeepers 8 yrs.old and Fergie is 12 yrs old so the find Adaya & Raja annoying after awhile they will put up with her for awhile and most of the time they will just go inside their cages until she gets put back in hers. Raja and Adaya are good friends they are both young and love to play chase and catch me if you can. Fergie will sometime get mad a Adaya but I've never seen her bite yet she just puffs her feathers and bluffs until Adaya finds a different place to play. Jeepers just wants to be with me lately but will stay put on his playstand when asked to Adaya won't go near that playstand she thinks its some kind of monster probubly just as well. Tyco is the one I really have to watch around Adaya she likes her and they do play but Tyco can get annoyed fairly quick if Adaya's not doing what Tyco wants her to do she doesn't hurt Adaya but she nips at Adayas toes. And thats when I have to intervene and put Tyco in her cage for a time out.
judygram
Since I only have two parrots I don't have much of a problem and one of them spends most of the time on my shoulder, Josey is usually on one of her playstands but for short periods of time she shares one of my shoulders while I watch some TV. They don't get along but as long as I keep each on separate sides then all is fine, sometimes Sunny tries to sneak over to Josey's side but the hand comes up to separate them and she goes back to her "corner" :cheer:
