Tycos_mom
These are some pictures Of my IRN he turned a Year old on the 18th of March according to the reading I've done Ring necks aren't sexualy mature until they are 2 years old. around the same time they get there rings. Well Rajas rings are starting to come in but aren't not even close to what they will be. He's very nasty I must say and thats not normal for him usually he's the biggest little cuddler you could ask for. He will lay belly up in the palm of my hand and if I give him scritches he says yea tickle tickle I love you but the other day he bit my face hard and if I did push him away I'm sure he would have drawn blood he saw himself in the mirror and I guess was trying to get me away from his new friend. I've covered that mirror for now I don't want to get bit like that again. anyway here's some pics of my beautiful boy.

BaxtersMom
Oh he is a cutie. It's amazing what evil little creatures they can become when they are hornmonal. I still have to keep my conure locked in his cage while he is going through this. My ear is just about healed up where he attacked me last week. He's been like this atleast 2 weeks now. Can't wait untill it's over. I keep wondering though ~ What if he never gets back to normal? Is that possible?
Eckobird
What a pretty baby. My mom had 2 ringnecks before and they were sooooo mean. The first one she got was in need of a home and she took him in to foster him so she could find him a home, his name was Buddy and he attacked everyone that came close to him. She found him a good home with a lady that lost hers, I hope he doesn't attack her like he did us. The second one was named Woodi, and she was terrified of people. She hated to come out of her cage but she loved to play on it. She would hide under blankets and sleep in her sleepy hut. A lady heard that we were fostering her and she took her and gave her a good home. Their bites definitely hurt really bad so I hope Raja gets through this hormonal stage quick for the sake of your fingers lol.

Tycos_mom
Don't worry Erica it won't last for ever does your husband take him out when your not around or is he totally cage bound. I still let Raja out for his usual playtime with Adaya they love to play chase all over the house and its such good exercise and very fun to watch I just make sure I cover all the mirrors and as long as he doesn't see himself he's pretty good about not attacking me. I know how hard it is not to be able to trust them but your going to have to let him out sooner or later. I just remind Raja when he lands on me to not bite. I say in a very stern voice with a stern look on my face no bite and he's pretty much back to letting me pet a scritch him again I found that if I was feeling afraid of him he would sense it and bite more but as long as I acted normally so did he. Try not to show your fear and hopefully it won't be long before he's the same old love bug he used to be.
