Lex
Is it worth me getting a humidifier for my cag? and what setting should it be at? and what one? some are more than just a humidifier. Dave
danmcq
Yes, I keep mine set at 45% humidity. If you start going over 50%, you run into mold issues possibly.

Luvparrots
Dave, a little background please. Why do you feel your CAG needs more moisture in the air? Is he itchy or have excessive amounts of dander?

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/06/24 00:
danmcq
I personally use the sears kenmore 6 gallon hundifier with No purifier. Thats strictly a personal choice. The humidty is good for their general health, nasal passages, lungs etc. It also helps keeps the dander down a little more as well do to the increased humidity in the air. danmcq
Spraying with aloe atleast 2x a week until drenched will definitely help with the itching. :-)

Luvparrots
Sounds like you have things well in hand then, Dave, as I was going to suggest Aloe Vera juice and Dan has given you great advice on humidifiers. Karma to you for doing your research!
