tinasanders Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I have a 9 year old female grey that has been unusually quiet for the last few weeks. She is eating OK, and normally she is very happy and talkative. But now she is perching on her food bowl, and sometimes even pooping in it. Not something she normally does. And just really quiet. She'll make little normal sounds once in a while, but not as much as she usually does. I was just wondering if she might be going thru some phase, or if I should take her into the vet for some bloodwork. I hate to stress her if I don't need to. Any ideas?
Eckobird Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I would take her to the vet ASAP! Greys try to hide the illness and this is definitely a sign that she isn't feeling right. Please take her and get some bloodwork done and let us know how it goes. I hope everything turns out ok!

Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/06/23 22:40
danmcq Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I agree with Caitlin, a vet visit is in order asap. They hide illness very well. Please let us know how this goes. :-)
myafricanqueen Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I agree with Dan and Caitlin. Poor bebe. I hope everything works out.
tinasanders Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 Ok, I will definately take her. Thanks for the feedback.

Luvparrots Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 An avian vet check does sound in order for your sweet grey. Please let us know what the vet says is the problem.
djzenjen Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 You've already heard it from them, so I won't repeat it! B) But please let us know what happens and that your baby is OK!
