Suddenly Quiet Grey

I have a 9 year old female grey that has been unusually quiet for the last few weeks. She is eating OK, and normally she is very happy and talkative. But now she is perching on her food bowl, and sometimes even pooping in it. Not something she normally does. And just really quiet. She'll make little normal sounds once in a while, but not as much as she usually does. I was just wondering if she might be going thru some phase, or if I should take her into the vet for some bloodwork. I hate to stress her if I don't need to. Any ideas?

I would take her to the vet ASAP! Greys try to hide the illness and this is definitely a sign that she isn't feeling right. Please take her and get some bloodwork done and let us know how it goes. I hope everything turns out ok!

Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/06/23 22:40
