HeatherStrella
I'm just curious, do you have your baby at home...and if so, is it a difficult job feeding him? I've been "craving" having a baby CAG but I don't really have a clue how much care is involved with the feeding and such.
judygram
In my opinion if you don't have experience with hand feeding birds then it is best to leave it to the people who do that all the time. There are things you have to be careful of and such.
Ma12cus504
I agree, Feeding it wasnt hard but really stressful for me. Sometime i worry i might kill it. I brought Junior before doing any research, it was stupid of me.But what is done is already been done, but If i had to redo it again, i rather get one that is weaned already. Also, this is my first time having an grey. Been wanting one for almost 12 years, but never have money to buy one until now . I have no handfeeding experience, so far i have been lucky with him/her so far. Counting the day until he/she is fully wean, then no more stress for me. Bottom line, i recommend buying a wean CAG. it not worth the stress brought upon yourself my two cent
judygram
Well I am glad to hear you are doing allright with it, but you admit it is not the best thing to do. That being said, I am proud of you for knowing nothing and going ahead anyway. I'm sure you used your common sense to help you thru the process. But maybe you have helped someone else who reads this and decides to let the experienced handle feeding. Good luck to you and keep us posted. Ma12cus504
Yes, I admit i was dumb and easily fooled by the breeder. "Handfeeding it yourself will make bond to you more"
judygram
I don't believe that, I didn't hand feed mine and she is bonded to me nicely, I would not put too much faith in that breeder, I think he just wanted to put the job off on someone else, like you for instance. But I am happy things are going well for you and your gorgeous baby.

Guest briansmum
i had to finish off weaning brian, i wouldn't take it on from a tiny baby bird too much work. but i enjoyed the couple of weeks i did do it.. if im totally honest i preferred it at least i knew he was eating. somtimes now it's difficult to tell if he's actually eating his food or just pulling lumps off and dropping them
