  1. Hey guys thanks a lot i will try everything over time her within the next week i'll mention what the best way was for the syringes cause I don't know if im looking wrong but havent found a lot of literature on them with birds so yea hopefully this weekend i will have an answer!
  2. Hello my name is James and i'm new to the forums. I have a 3 year old African Gray named Pretty Girl (mom was stubborn on the name cause it was the first phrase our African grey learned...corny i know) Our Pretty Girl was just prescribed some low milligram tablets by our doctor to help stop her recent picking problem (first one in her life). They said we can 1. dissolve in juice and give that to her 2. crush and mix in food (i'm doubtful she'll eat it) 3. use something they gave us I think its called a pill syringe. Anyway i was looking for some other ideas or suggestions and if your bird has ever had a tablet how did you give it to her? First time posting thanks! James
  3. I had this problem with my bird not to long ago i have a grey and she tolerated my mom but that was it so i would have the bird step from my hand to hers and she would pet and talk to the bird after they stood their for a while i had them do a "step up" exercise where the bird just steps up from one hand to another this takes time but it might work just let charlie know your wife wont hurt him. if you want to id research some similar situations! hope this helps!
