Hi Everyone, So I don't currently own a grey, I'm still learning quite a bit and assuring myself I'm making the right choice for the grey and for my family. Nothing I've see so far has deterred me though, I'm joining this forum to continue to learn about African Greys from people who actually own them - since I can read all the articles I want but with my previous parrots I've found having knowledgeable persons to go to has been the best resource. I personally have experience with parrotlets, lovebirds, and cockatoos; but while working with the Humane Society I have gotten to know a few greys and found them - albeit often with some unsavoury learned behaviours - to be fantastic companions, and I very much look forward to having a grey adopt our family as his own.
