  1. Ragga is not clipped and has never been, nor has my Conure. I will never clip my Parrots, but I do understand the frustration in having a fully flighted bird. Ragga my TAG went through a faze where he never wanted to return to his cage. At home he never has to be in a cage, as he has a bird room. However, when we travel he has to go back in a cage every time I leave the house, and especially at night. I started to use certain words for a command instead of trying to "catch" him, or make him step up to go into his cage. This worked after a couple weeks, he now flies directly into his cage when I tell him too. I will never clip my FIDS, they are brats a lot, and will step up when THEY want to a lot of the time, but I feel that's all part of the responsibilities of having a Parrot. They are suppose to fly. That's my opinion though, and you must do what you feel is best and safest for you and your Grey.
  2. Phew! lol... Thank you, I feel better. lol
  3. Ever clip his/her own nails? LOL idk if this is something I should be concerned about, or if this is "normal". Ragga and I are sitting here watching a movie cuddling, scratching when all of a sudden, very calmly he starts biting his nails. I've never seen him do this before. He is just clipping off the tips. He is due for a nail trim, they are long. maybe he's just annoyed with the length? He is not a plucker or never has he clipped his feathers. .... ill attach a pic of him biting his nails.
  4. i personally do a "mash" which is a bunch of veggies and always sweet potato in a blender, or food processor which makes a gloppy mash of goodness. I do a huge batch once a month and portion it out in small bags, freeze what im not currently using, and serve it warm to my birds. They absolutely LOVE my mash. I always make it a little different every time but i always put sweet potato (cooked of course), broc, peas, kale, greens, carrots and then whatever else is on sale or looks good. sometimes i put a bean mix or ill put cooked whole wheat pasta. you can also add seasoning (no salt), stuff like cinnamon or some thing spicy... for some reason when u put all the veggies together they seem to enjoy it.
  5. Thank you all for your welcomes and nice words. I will most definitely be dropping by different threads and chatting here and there. I do love to brag about my little boy. lol
  6. Hello, just stopping by to introduce myself. I do believe I've been on here a few years back, but it has been a long time. I have a TAG named Ragga Muffin, for short I just call him Ragga. He's been in my life for over 4 years. He is a sweet baby most of the time lol. Lately he's been quit willful but who isn't? ill try to post a pic of my little Ragga, if it doesn't work, at least I tried!
