Hi everyone......I just want to say up front, that this sucks big time, and I hate to even write tthis post...... .....Due to my sons allergies AND mine, we have to remove " Frankie " from our home. I have an air purifier in his room running 24/7, but even that is not helping with the allergies.....I joined this forum/website a few months ago and unfortunatley I have not really had the time to post alot, but the short time I'ver been here, EVERYONE is/was soooooo cool and down to earth. So thank you for that......Now the crappy part: " Frankie " is a BEAUTIFUL African Grey, approx. 4 yrs old, very friendly, speaks, is mellow tempered, and banded on his right ankle. .......I'm asking $1,200.......Frankie was about $1,450 when he was purchased as a baby at 3 months old, and the cage was $300. I'm also including approx. $60 of unopened/sealed/unexpired parrot food, treats, & cleaning supplys........If anyone knows of someone looking for such a bird, or offer any other advise, please let me know....I live in Westchester County, New York....thanks again.....Mark....

OK...OK...I know...I'm such a idiot...!!! Had no idea the two pics where attached to my last post....lol....still need practice, cause it really did take tooooo long....lol.......

O.K. my friends, signed up for the photobucket website, lets see if I can now post a few pics..... Man, I give up....I was able to "download"...."attach"...or whatever its called 2 out of 4 pics, but I can't figure out how to move/post them to a thread, or " my albums ", etc.....been sitting here for waaayyyyy toooooo long for trying to post a few pics....I know once I get the hang of it, it'll be much easier, but I just dont have the patience to sit here any longer.....any more help would be appreciated....thanks guys........

Funny, thing....I'm typing the quick reply a few minutes ago, and the wife yells..." Frankie's outta the cage "..!!!...so I go back and see and there he is, just sitting on the top of the cage..!!...second time that happened..??..now I gotta figure out how to stop him from getting out..???...tie wraps..??..mini-padlock..??...more help por favor...lol...

Well, this is the awkward " first " thread to a new forum. We've all been there....lol....my Rottweiler forum, my saltwater fish forum, and now my first African Grey forum....don't have too much time at the moment, just wanted to say hi y'all and hope to have many discussions with everyone here. Gotta run, but real quick so you know what's happening. My neighbor had to get rid of his 4 year old African Grey " Frankie " for personal reasons. I've always loved going over with the kids to see Frankie and was literally quite shocked when he asked me if I wanted him. Of course I said " yes " and the next thing, we have a new member of the family...!!!...he's super cool and very mellow. So far I'm the only one who he will let touch, scratch his head, closes his beak on my finger in a very gentle way, etc..... Gonna need advise, tips, pretty much everything. But I really have to go....been a pleasure and ill be sure to post more and hope to post pics....have a great day.....Mark...
