  1. The hat is 100% real by the way. I was really surprised, she didn't try to take it off or anything
  2. Happy hatchday my sweetie <3 She got to eat her favorite nuts and got some new toys for the occasion!
  3. It looks really good. Personally I don't really like the part where it opens up at the top since there would be even more poop on the perches but if you don't mind that then it's perfect

    Travel Cage

That one looks good though I think I prefer the solid top one so that she doesn't get spooked by anything above her. I'll browse for now but I'll only start really shopping for a carrier when I find out the maximum height of the cage I can bring in the cabin with me.

Thank you so much! I'll make sure to check with the airline

    Travel Cage

I'll be going by plane so I'm a little worried about that (but I think it would be a good thing for her to experience), the cage is probably too big and I'll be needing one that covered more while for the plane. My siblings have a cat so I'm going to have to be careful with her out, but we have enough people around to keep everything under control and I really want her to meet more animals. Do airlines allow you to bring their food along?

    Travel Cage

I might be leaving for 10 days to visit family and I'm not sure if I should bring her with me. If she stays she'll be at home looked after by family here, but I want to spend more time with her because by the time I get back I'll only have a few days with her before we'll be leaving the country for 2 weeks and she'll be boarded with her breeder. I want to know how long I can leave her in the travel cage if we go out for a few hours. I'd take her with me to most places but the weather is way too cold for her. I was also thinking of leaving her in the bathroom with her cage when we go out sometimes, we can take out everything that might a risk and close the toilet bowl so that she can't get in there as well as leave her travel cage where I'll be putting a lot perches and toys on the outside of the cage as well. This is the travel cage I have for Luna: http://www.amazon.com/Prevue-Products-Travel-1305-20-Inch/dp/B003VVP0KU
  8. You can put a harness on them both to try taking them out together, this way you have control on how close they can get and if one decides to lunge you can quickly pull them away.
  9. Yea, naming them is fun but it isn't a big thing. If (or when ) I decided to get another birds I'll most probably adopt one instead.
  10. I think I forgot to mention that Her name is Luna
  11. your birds are adorable Jayd We have a cockatiel at home but I'm not sure how I'll introduce them to each other. They don't mind each other when they're in the same room or when one or both of them are in their cages, but I would like them to be friendly to each other up close while out if the cage if possible.
  12. That's adorable Love it
  13. Thanks for the replies. I decided to wait a bit before shouldering and when I do I'll only allow her up there if I place her there. Having her try to run up my arms to get there is tiring
  14. I don't have a lot of pics yet. Here's when we were going home And here's her in her cage She really want to go on my shoulder. I've let her do that for now but I'm not sure if I should allow that...
  15. I read that lovebirds are fine alone as long as you have time to keep him or her company.
  16. His eye in the last pic is beautiful. He's an all around beautiful bird though
  17. Maybe you can answer back like he's asking you a question. Like if he says "you hungry" reply "Yes, I am hungry" then eat something. Or just try correcting him, when he says the sentence reply with the correct way to say it. I'm not too sure how these would work since I still don't have a grey at home though.
  18. This is probably a stupid question I know nothing about trees and I don't know how to identify them. There are a lot of trees in my area and I was thinking about using some of their branches for perches and other things but I have no idea what type of trees they and can't make sure they're safe. Does anyone know of a good site or place I could go to that could help me out?
  19. I'm not sure how strong they are though I heard A&E cages were pretty good.
  20. Thanks everyone Thanks Wingy! I don't why I didn't even think of Amazon!
  21. I've been looking at these two cages, I really like the first one but I need to find out how much their shipping costs and their return policy. The second one looks pretty good and it costs less. Which do you think is better and are the sizes big enough for a CAG? http://www.mysafebirdstore.com/PLAYTOP_CAGES-A_E_Playtop_Cage_36x28.html http://www.ebay.com/itm/Parrot-Bird-Cage-Extra-Large-Playtop-36-Lx26-Wx66-H-Macaw-Cockatoo-African-Grey-/380450515298?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item58949e2962 Thanks
  22. I'm really excited, I just hope the bird will like me. I'm not too worried about its personality though, I think I can adapt well enough
  23. Guess who's put a deposit on an egg :3 I've been visiting this aviary for a while with an African Grey in mind. I'm so excited and nervous
