He's been scanned and there wasn't a chip unless it's on another frequency. I can't imagine having one of these birds and not putting in a chip. The search continues. Linda

We will be scanning the bird in a few hours. Where is the chip usually placed on a bird? This promises to be an enlightening experience. This bird is not the tamest. Thanks for the replies. Linda

I have joined this forum hoping to get some info regarding a lost bird. I have been adopted by an african grey and I would like to find his owner. I will have him scanned for a chip tomorrow if I can get him in a smaller cage for transport. In the meantime is there a database available that lists the info on his leg band? I've checked some lost and found sites but nothing has been reported yet. Thanks for you help, Linda and a lost African Grey
