Haha, definitely I can see that! I'm a firm believer in open cages as well! I guess I should clarify, if you notice your babies perching on the dishes and avoiding the perches you have supplied them, maybe try a different wood, rope, ect...it might cut down on the problem. But you will always get the blessings from above!

Hi new to this, soon to be parront! With doing tons of research picked up somewhere, made sense to me. If perch is to big or slick your bird may just feel more comfy on the bowls, recommended was rough wood and maybe even nice thick rope if they aren't a chewer, just a thought.
