Do you have chamomile available to you? You might possibly find it in a market with medicines, herbs, spices or possibly near tea (you don't want tea but some people here drink it in place of tea). Here is some information on greys and stress http://www.africangreys.com/articles/nutrition/nut_herbal.html This will give you an idea of what to look for

Isn't Sophie a CAG? She's suppose to have a red tail. I have a TAG which should be anywhere from dark grey to brownish maroon. TAG's don't usually have a rump that looks like this. (That pic is baby's belly. He likes laying on his back and doing the periscope thing with his head.) Click to enlarge.

I have a window that doesn't have a good lock. I used a few pieces of an old broom and cut the wood so that it fit snugly in the window, one piece in each side, preventing it from being slid open. I also have thick cloth over that window to block out the heat/cold and prevent neighbors from peeking in. My partner in crime has a family member with mental issues that cannot deal with someone not answering the door. All windows and doors in my home are always locked, secured and peek in proof in part because of this family member.

What wonderful news.

That is great news.

As I said on the other thread I think you might have luck with sprouting. You can sprout the seed he is eating now which would turn plain seed into vegetables. While there are sprouting containers you really don't need anything special to do this. The great thing about sprouts is that they can be eaten at any stage so you can get Momo to eat them without noticing. http://sproutpeople.org/sprouts.html

If I decide to go with the Pac-o-bird I am lucky that the shop has them in stock and can introduce it now. I do plan on outings right away so that those are also routine and no big deal. For now anyway his personality is "I wanna see" and he loves people. He is not reserved at all.

Ok that gave me flash backs to the days of trying to play a board game with a toddler and kitten still awake.

Nancy food can't be sent through the mail. Only stores with export licenses can ship and only for the countries they have the license for. Private people can't at all. It will be confiscated by customs.

Dave include my TAG in that stay red prayer circle.

I'm not condoning this and the birds caretakers should have known better and kept that bird out of harms way. On the people from another forum, I'm willing to guess that they found it funny because they do not know that chocolate is toxic or that the bird could/would likely suffocate from the goo. If this was a fountain full of water I wouldn't feel appalled I would be thinking oh what a silly bird just like I do when I go to the park and see the birds playing in the fountain.

How high up is the perch from the bottom? I don't know about my little guy but the zon used to love being able to see out the window. I think I could make a stand that I could belt in using the car seat tether clips and use the seat belt to secure the carrier.

They might molt out and might not. I'm taking a lot of pictures for that very reason and plan on keeping several. DS and I will be going for a family portrait and I'll glue feathers from our fids on the matte.

Good question. I had wondered about this myself but had forgotten to ask. My baby's tongue is pink with patches of dark dark grey/black. It is so soft it tickles my fingers when he's using his mouth to explore and learn about what he getting ready to rest his beak against.

Widening your search area is a good idea. This is the time of year when people are doing things outside and having get togethers.

You are so tempting me to get one. There is an ice cream shop within walking distance and lots of ethnic and community festivals we could attend.

At this stage of the game none of the babies really know you, including the one you had originally chose, so you aren't abandoning one in favor of another. I don't think you would be a bad parront for switching to one that is better suited to you. You aren't letting anyone down or doing a bad thing.

Congratulations on your baby. I don't know anything about the Panama and will be interested in your tales.

Remember if Momo rejects what you made try again tomorrow at another temperature. Momo may like it anywhere from room temperature to frozen. It is also recommended to offer new things in the morning before giving the daily food. So remove the food dish that had seeds, give a dish of what you've cooked and say 30 or 40 later put the dish of the usual food in. I'm not sure if you know but you can sprout the seed that you have now and give that. It is much healthier and Momo might be braver about trying it because it looks familiar. You can look up sprouting seeds and offer them once the seed splits and the root emerges. This way they still look like the usual seeds. If those are accepted you can gradually lengthen the amount of "grow time" you give the seeds.

I was thinking along the lines of a back perch with a neck and ear protection.

Nancy he's starting to whistle now and has started to use his big bird chirps and squeals. The video I posted has sound. I met 2 couples today who have babies that aren't weaned yet and live close enough so they can visit daily. They say they love interacting with my little guy and that he is always running to the side of the tank to visit with everyone who stops for more than a moment. I spoke with his caregivers and he will not be moved out of the tank and into a cage any time soon. They feel he isn't steady enough on his feet yet and enjoys sprawling out to sleep still. Hopefully when the time comes for the "big move" I can be there to watch him explore.

It must mean the Leafs will be the next Stanley Cup champs too. WTG on the flight Tango. May this be the beginning of many more.

All pictures are clickable. Just look at how I have grown. Whats this? Nom nom nom. My family says I have bee-you-tee-full red edged feathers under my wings. I don't know what that means but I hope it means lunch. My family says my voice is changing. Does this mean I'll have to shave soon? Can I have the keys to the car? How much is my allowance? Judy's advice is spot on. Take stacks of photo flyers to the local post offices and ask the carriers to be on the look out. Do the same with the police, fire department, vets offices, animal control, pet shops, and anything to do with animals or birds found in your telephone book. You all are in my prayers.
