Hi!,

I need some help with an African Grey Congo, he is not mine, but he does live at the animal and bird hospital located in Norco, CA, which is where I work. He is Dr. Stoddard's bird (Dr. Stoddard is the inventor of the avid microchip used in dog's and cat's) Doc is retired and although I have never seen him, he does come to see George in the morning. After that, he get's attention from the other workers who are almost all women. Now, the problem with that is, George does not like women, he has bitten many and he will let you know that you need to back off. I have been able to semi-bond with George and I happen to be a woman. So far, he let's me touch his feet and his beak and I think he is more scared than anything, I talk to him in a soft voice and I think that helps soothe the fear, I tell him he will be alright and I talk to him like I would talk to another person, I don't really treat him like a baby.
