Hi, Tommy is just over a year old now. For months there as been constantly small white feathers all over the place and very dusty these have now stopped but there have been a few larger feathers now he flew to me the other day and a red tail feather came out whilst flying and today I found a small wing feather convert feather I think there called it was all in one piece and in good condition apart from the tail feather this is the first biggish feather I have seen Im in the UK Does this sound like molting with the downie feather now calmed down from coming out. Tommy is also scratching a little bit, he is very happy and starting to talk really well. I am bathing daily now aswell Many Thanks, Jonny

Hi Guys and Gals, Tommy is a African Congo Parrot, 12 weeks old, When i first visited him on sunday the breeder opened the cage and Tommy immediatly went to him, He was also on my hand for a couple of minutes and let me stroke him for a pit but then flew off (is this a good start)?? Is there anywhere on the site that like does the first week of having your parrot e.g Leave them alone for first few days or let them out straight away, When to start training what i should start training firsy? And something I also wonder is How do you get them back in cage once there out with no training so im not freaked out if i cant get him back in first time letting him out. I have done alot of research but struggling with a few things. Thanks, Jonny
