Hi Bill! it looks like you and I are in similar positions. I brought our quaker home a year ago and am awaiting our new baby TAG, who is only 6 wks now. He won't be coming home with us until he is fully weaned and a strong flyer, so it feels like it's going to be FOREVER waiting, but since that's what's best for him it's the only way to go. I am glad to meet someone in similar shoes. It will be nice to compare notes.

Question for you...I have seen several recipes that suggest a bean mix, but when I brought my first bird home my breeder gave me a "toxic foods" list for parrots that included kidney and lima beans. Does anyone have any more information on that?
