Not very good oif i need him back in quickly for some reason,,,, please Help xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

He starts to make little squeeking & grunting noises while we r playing, then he pumps his head up & down like he is gonna be sick... Is coco trying to regurgitate to me, to say he loves me????..... He will be 1 on 30th may
  4. Hiya just lately coco has been getting himself into some very strange situations he will spin himself round & round on his rope toys & bells untill it is all wrapped around his leg & he is cuaght up in them, then he is scraching & i have to unravell him then other weird thing that has happened about 3 times in last few weeks, is some how he flaps or stretches & his wing comes throught the bars of his cage & then get stuck....again he screams & i have to get my husband to thred his wing back out of the bars, coz it scares me too much He done this today & was really shaken up by it, he is fine now thought, but still not the point.... Just to let you all know i have the Haiti Montana cage, incase someone surggests i do not have the correct cage for my grey... im worried one of these things will happen when nobody is home.. Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone have any advice for me plz xxxxx
  5. my coco CAG.... has been talking about a month or 2 now.... He is 9 months old & his 1st scentance was "coco good boy"...... i was really curious as to when he would talk & even if he would at all, & then bam not only did he talk but it was a whole scentance WOW.... We cannot get him to shut up now lol...... xx
  6. Thank u all for your comments Well the move went well & we all just love the new house..... Including Coco yay My husband & i actually think coco is more active & defo more vocql since the move, he seems even extra happy than b4 so big smiles all round. Happy new year everyone xx
  7. Hiya everyone... i just have a very quick question... Being a fairly new grey owner is my beautifull Coco, im still finding little things that i have to admit i dont know about yet ok, so my friends aunt came round to my house the other day, (she also has a grey) & she said to my husband, ohhhh look your grey is fiddling with his ring on his leg (coco always turns it round & round).... she then said he shouldnt really have one of those it can become to small for his leg & really hurt & annoy him...... Now Coco came to me from the breeder with his ring already on his leg, & he told me its for incase he gets lost & the code & colour matches on his hatch certificate (wich it does) to prove he is mine... Coco does play around with it from time to time, just turning it round on his leg, it doesnt look sore or irritated & doesnt look like its squeezing him like its too small.... But now im paranoid that i should have it taken off... PLEASE HELP
  8. Hello everyone.... We will all be moving house on 28th december & im a little worried that Coco is going to get very upset Is there anything i can do to make him feel better once the move has taken place? this is quite worring me & we havent even moved yet

  10. my CAG is jus coming up to 7 months old, & has never bobed her head since ive had him...... my friends CAG does this when he is happy to see her, but he is 3 yrs old..... is this sometrhing i have to teach my grey, or is it a natural behaviour that my CAG will display as he gets older???
  11. Thanx for ur reply Dave.... Im always talking to coco i tell him everything im doing & take him all round the house with me, im comunicating with him non stop... I wasnt asking this question coz im having too high expectations of coco's talking ability, i was asking becouase i wasnt expecting him to even begin to try talking till he was at least over a year old, or even if he was going to talk at all..wich i wouldnt care if he didnt, i love him just how he is... its just this noise like talking that he is doing recently & i wanted to know WOW is he really trying already, i was shocked lol
  12. Hello everyone..... its been almost 3 months now since i brought coco home, & we r doing better than i had ever imagined in such a short time, its like we have been together forever lol ok...... so coco is making really weird noises, almost like he is talking LOADS but its just really croaky mumbling in the back of his throat & you cant quite make out what it is he is saying just yet, but it definalty sounds like something lol.... will this get clearer & clearer as a bit more time goes by & i keep talking to him??? i was just wondering coz i hope this isnt him actually thinking he has mastered it & this is coco's talking that you cant understand ???? lol..... oh by the way coco is jus coming up to 7months old now xxx
  13. hello, i live in the UK & i paid £650 for my CoCo...He was 14 weeks old... Then i paid £150 for his cage....
  14. Hello, congratz on ur new grey ive had my coco for just over a month now, & he is 19 weeks old... when i 1st brought him home, he used to strike out at me & bite & squawk when i touched him & jus didnt like anyone at all... but now he is a diffrant bird..... he wants to be with me all the time, flying onto me every chance he gets, bowing his head for scritches, & steps up on command lovely every time.... he is trying to talk aswell.. he loves me & only me, wont let anyone else near him..... You just need to spend lots of time talking to your bird, tell him the things you are doing, involve him in ur daily routine..... act happy & chirpy around him, the bond will come in time, u will see it progress, gradually he will let you do more with him as he learns to trust you more... I never thought coco was going to like me, now im so happy with my birdy friend, we want to b together all the time hahaha

Ohhh ive alway been under the understanding than seeds from fruits were poisonus to our greys ...... Personally i wouldnt let my coco eat any seeds from a fruit
  16. hello everyone.... i just wantded some advice please...... The breeder i got coco from was mixing Pretty Bird African grey Pellets with a seed & dry fruit parrot mix, so thats what ive been doing for the whole 2 months nearly that ive had him for. But..... ive noticed that he isnt really intersted in the seeded mix & just picks out his pretty bird pellets. Is it ok to loose the seed & fruit mix & just fill his bowl with pellets only?
  17. My African Grey CoCo has Pretty Bird African complete food.... i buy it from Northan Parrots website
  18. Thank you for your response judygram..... im glad to hear that maybe he isnt bored, & its just his little bit of chill out time... I just wanted to make sure i was giving him enough attention =)
  19. Hiya..... =) so things r going really well with me & CoCo... His been at home with me for just over 3 weeks now...& he is 17 weeks old now....... He will step up on command, loves cuddles & scratches..... & the other day he started to make his 1st noises (that we have head anyways) even sounds like he is trying to say things...this is just now & then he will have a little outburst...... I let CoCo out of his cage for most of the day & talk to him LOADS.... But sometimes if he isnt climbling all over his cage, or chewing & playing with his toys, he just sits there looking very bored....Is there more stuff i can do with him??? I try to handle him lots but after he has stepped up i walk over to the sofa & sit down with him & he flys bk up on his cage... he preferes me to stroke him while he is still sitting on his cage, im not gonna push him to stay on me, im sure this will come in time, am i right??
  20. Hiya... my African grey was born on 30th may 2011. so he is coming very close to 5 months old now... ive had him for nearly 3 weeks now & he is verry quiet, he doesnt make much noise at all He is very tame & loves me to stoke him & he walks all over me & plays nice with me... i spend hours sitting with him talking to him & strroking him... The only time he really chirps is when he is in his cage & im not paying him no attention or if i walk out of the room.. & even then its not constant chirping, its just 1 or 2 little chirps.. (please note when i say he is quiet i dont mean his not talking as i know he is still quite young to talk yet...im meaning chirping & chattering & baby grey noises) ive seen youtube videos of baby greys much younger than my coco & they are very vocal & chirping away, making lots of differant noises... is coco ok??? He eats & drinks well & seems very happy with his toys, ropes & perches in his cage, he is jus so very queit
  21. Im from the UK & i paid £650 for my Coco =)
