This is soo sad and just makes me soo damn mad. But at the same time it gives me hope for Lucy. I don't know all of her story but this girl gives me hope that maybe one day I will beable to just hold my old lady ;-) thanks for sharing...

I rescued her from someone that was gonna take her in the back yard and kill her. Sad sad place

On my way home from the vet. She is in a lot of pain and will be for the rest of her life with her bad leg. They gave me pain meds, vitamin a to help heal her skin and also gave me A spay too keep her skin moist. We did talk about putting her down. But that's only if she keeps up the mutilation. Like the vet said she has been through alot in her 50 years and she is in a lot of pain. Buy just moving her to a better house she may stop the mutilation. I mean she has done so much to herself that her skin is just tearing by the sores. I will keep u guys updated as much as i can thanks guys and pray for us please ;-)

That's what I was thinking but just wanted to make sure ;-) love them both anyways. I will be off to the vet in the morning with Lucy the cockatoo. Hope all goes well with her. She is not all that bad like the guy made her out to be. Ive had her for almost two weeks now and she is a good bird I hear the CAG's more then I hear her. And he was gonna kill her. Man I hate people like that.

Ok is there a reason why my 8year old male CAG is darker then my 5year old female? Do they get darker with age? Is it a male-female thing? Is it just different birds? Just asking. Was lookin at them and can't get over how much darker Fred is then Bam. Thanks

Thanks guys...I have a lot of work cut out for me with them tho...Bam was my love bug till I had my baby...She lets me pet her head for a few sec. then thats it ready to bit...Fred I just got was a love bug to the man that had him but its gonna take time for him warm up to me..He is now letting me pet his head throw the cage...Lucy it A LOT of work she is 50 years old and use to be a breeder...She was tame like 50 years ago...My vet said Too are easy to turn around but I dont know about a 50 year old one =) OH well I love them anyways...They are now in there forever home....

Hi everyone my name is Casey and I am owned by two Congo african greys =) and a moluccan cockatoo =) BamBam is my female grey and I had her for about 5 years now. Bam use to love me untill I got prego and had the baby.. She still dont let me hold her like I use to =( I have to get her butt out wtih a glove now...I just rescued the other grey and too from someone that was not doing right by them. I just got them a week ago today. Fred the grey is about 8 years old and tame but will not let me touch him yet. The man was kissing him and flipping him over but I have to give him time to get use to me...The Cockatoo is about 50 years old and was a breeder in her time..she is not tame and the man was going to kill her if I didnt take her. she plucks and bits herself..We have a appointment on Friday to the vet. Thats a little about me and my birds...Gotta go get ready for work now yuck =)
