  1. In western Washington there are two bird shops that have CAGs right now one is $1399 the other $900. Includes testing for DNA and diseases, health guarantees, and that is pretty much it. We went to visit both stores and the $900 were way more socialized, and not as standoffish.
  2. I will, I hopefully will get to visit tomorrow! I will take a couple pictures and post them. I did not realize until last night that people on this site are a little "picture crazy". Which is awesome because I love seeing all of them!
  3. I really like that cage. I was thinking more like a macaw sized cage. I know for sure I won't get anything smaller then 36"x20"x48". You do not think 1" bar spacing is to big? If that is the case that will make cage buying much easier!
  4. We are getting our new baby in a couple months, and I have been searching for the perfect cage. I want something on the larger side, just because once in a while we have crazy days and can't have him out all day. The problem I have is our breeder recommends having either 1/2" or 3/4" bar spacing. Most of the big cages have 1" bar spacing. Any advice on where to look? I might just have to settle on something a little smaller then what I have in mind. Does anyone have any cages that they really love?
  5. That is so exciting, we have at least another month before he is weaned maybe longer. Taylor is just the cutest little thing, we visit him a lot! He is still just a baby so other then cute little noises he doesn't do much, I am sure that will change quickly.
  6. Thanks for all the welcomes. I realize now that I made a mistake judging all greys by the few that I have met. I was very young however and he pretty much tortured us so I was a little traumatized. Looking back and knowing what I know now, there were a lot of things that were done completely wrong in caring for him. Plus he came with tons of baggage, his previous owner died and he was pretty ticked off about it. My husband and I look at many birds, babies and adults from greencheeks, to goffins, to greenwings and this baby was just "the one".
  7. So I am new to this site and greys, although I have been reading lots of posts the past few days. We will be bringing home our new baby CAG Taylor in about 2 months. This is my first bird in my adult life; I grew up with birds in the house though so I am not completely new to birds. My husband and I have been looking at birds for about a year and I completely fell in love with a baby CAG after being adamant about never having one. My grandmother had a very unfriendly TAG that would attack and bite everyone except her, so I never thought I would like them. This site is awesome and I am sure I have a million questions and this seems like a good place to find some answers.
