Oh my goodness, what a cute little fellow! So glad you get to see him everyday. I get to bring my baby home on May 28th. I got his cage ordered tonight. I am getting excited. thanks for sharing the pic of you little cutie!

My little fellow's breeder called last night & told me he is almost weaned! She said he just turns away from the feeding now & is eating real food on his own. I am so excited! We have made plans for me to drive there on Friday before Memorial Day & pick him up. So, I have got to get the cage ordered now. I have an eclectus but her breeder sold me the cage for her & I don't even remember the company it came from. I don't really know what to order so any suggestions? The one my ekkie is in is kind of a pewter gray & powdered coated (I do know that much). Thanks in advance. Can you see me doing a little happy dance??? I can't wait to get this little babe home. Don't know the sex yet but the breeder is going to get DNA tested for me.

Hi Gwen, I live in Southern Indiana. Are you south also? I am getting a baby grey. I went to see it today (for the second time). I cannot wait to bring it home with me. I am sooooo excited. Don't know the sex yet but don't matter to me. Congrats on making progress with Roscoe. I have an eclectus that is 1 yr old & she won't let me pet her but I keep trying everyday. You will like this list. I just lurk but will write when I get my baby home, maybe 4 more weeks or so. Linda

Please share with me, what state did your baby come from? I would like to avoid that breeder. Also, was your baby shipped or did you pick it up? I just wondered if they ship well.....does anyone know? I bought an eclectus from Texas & she was shipped to Indiana. She is so skiddish, I can not touch her only the last 2 weeks I have been able to very gently stroke her foor/ankle. I just love her but she sure is scared. I paid extra for a "hand fed & well handled" baby but I don't think she was handled much.

She is beautiful! I have purchased a baby (is 50 days old today). I am going to see it for the second time next week. I can't wait. How old is your girl?

What size cage is recommended? Would 32x23x65 be big enough? thanks in advance.

Congrats on your little girl!! What other birds do you have? I went to a breeder yesterday to buy a grey. Hope it is a girl too. I have to buy a cage & get ready for her. She is only 18 days old so it will be a while before I get to bring her home.

Hello. I am so glad to have found this site. I am going this Saturday to look at some young greys'. I have wanted one for awhile now. I have an eclectus that I have had for 10 months. She has never made up with me yet. I still try but she won't even let me touch her. She is a beauty too. I had a re-homed umbrella too & loved him dearly but after some really bad bites my family persuaded me to find a new home for him. I still miss him very much. He is very happy with his new owner which is a male & I think he really preferred men anyway. So, I hope to learn a lot from reading the posts. Thank you so much for letting me join in.

Hello. I am new here so may have some trouble learning how to get around. I am planning on buying a Grey soon. The breeder called me tonight & I am going on Satuday to see the babies. Not sure of the hatch date yet. I know this site will be very helpful & informative. So I will say Thanks right now!

I am planning on buying an Aftican Grey. Would love to learn much more before the big day. I now own an 1 yr old female Electus which will not make up with me so hope to have better luck with the grey. So glad to find this site.
