Thanks everyone. He's settled in nicely. I think his plucking has decreased, but time will tell. His diet has vastly improved, he's eating Harrison's pellets, bird bread, a veggie/grain/bean mix and whatever other fresh foods daily. My mother-in-law had been feeding him seeds and some fresh vegetables. I'm not giving him any seeds now, but may give him a few as a treat once in a while. I'll have to post a list of the things he says, it must be over fifty different sentences plus the usual sound effects and whistles. He makes me laugh when he does a big screech then says, "No screeching! Shame on you!" He also tells the dogs, "Shame on you!" whenever they get too close to his cage. Of course, my favorite is when he says, "mmmmm I love you."
