  1. don't know I missed that video, I have been to that site looking at the flight harnesses. That is what I was looking for.....thank you!!
  2. thanks, he is doing great... he has taken a liking to soft corn and pea's, he will taste test sweet potatoes but hasn't quite developed a taste for them...
  3. lol.. no problem. I have mements like that myself....
  4. This is Adrian. I started hand feeding him at 2 weeks. He was a tough one, eclectus babies eat very slow and litteraly think they have to taste every drop before swallowing. He came home the same time as Gremlin Adrain as a baby
  5. this is Gremlin and my granddaughter. I handfed him from 8 days till weaning. He came home spring 2010 gremlin as a baby
  6. here I have started putting Rylie in his cage for a few minutes at a time. He actually loves it with the freedom to walk around and can really see what is going on
  7. here he is exploring. I spread 2 blankets out and lay out his toys to play with. He does okay not straying to far (no worries on the cat, Kozmoh knows about the beak already having grown up with birds and he is declawed) besides the fact that Rylie is never left unsupervised.
  8. taken last weekend. He loves his toys so much and does real well with them being switched out.....
  9. here he is doing what we call "turkey stretching"
  10. So here are a few photo's of Rylie few days after he came home
  11. I picked up a dvd player for Rylie to help keep him occupied but I have not had much luck on finding "movies" or video's designed to entertain parrots. I know I could just leave the tv on but there needs to be a compromise agreed to between myself and the other half  I want to avoid ones that show parrots screaming and squaking excessivly or uncontrolably as that would not be something I would want him to learn as a favorite. I thought about childrens cartoons since that is what I have on the tv most of the time anyways due to having the granddaughter here everyday but would like to entertain other options....... Any suggestions? thanks in advance!!
  12. wow, think you could have smoothed it over a little....
  13. Thank you Judy I do consider myself fortunate but owning a small business these days definately has its drawbacks. The CAG has been the "ONE" bird I have always wanted (not taking away my love and commitment from Adrian and Gremlin) and am so excited about having him as part of the family. I thought he weighed a little more than average but he is a little pigglet. He would eat from the syringe non stop in one feeding if I were to let him. I don't weigh him both before and after his feeding, just once and it was usually after the feeding. I just started to wonder if I should do it before but never really worried about it since I was seeing a progressive gain in weight. As for photos, I already have tons of them. I will load them up soon! thanks
  14. thank you, Ray! I have seen many parrots that are not well socialize and it is heart wrenching to see them not achieve their full potential. Rylie will not be one of them. I also have a male Solomon Island Eclectus (Adrian Beaky) and a Sun Condure (Gremlin) that I hand fed and they are both very well adjusted while maintaining their individual personality traits.
