Thanks for sharing, my guy talks (not back to me like that lol), but he prefers to whistle and make sounds to talking.

I have no experience in this, I adopted Babalu when I was already married, I did have to beg though lol. I would think they would think it was cool, to be able to see exotic birds, but then again, I love birds! Don't cats turn men off too tough?

Do the beads on the platform perch come out easily? Or are they stuck in there pretty good?

Here is my current set up. I am on the hunt for a bigger ss cage though. The approximate measurements are 36"x24" and inside height of about 37".

That looks like a molted feather to me. Does he look like he is plucking? Any bare or ratty areas? Sometimes mine will play with a big feather when it falls out, I'm pretty sure that's normal.

One of my dogs is chipped, shelter dog, and the other is not. I'm not sure how I feel about a foreign body inside, but that's another topic... However, they both wear collars with id tags and when I leave the house they are put in their outdoor kennels (with a roof on cement) or locked in the house. I am paranoid of ever loosing my babies. I have these and haven't had any issues with them and Babalu. But I did get him the avitech heat panel so they aren't around his cage anymore. The heat dish will collect dust when not in use and have a burning smell when you turn it on again. I have one! I got the one with the mess catcher. Then after a while I order the larger size mess catcher because the one that came with it didn't catch a lot of the poops because Babalu picked a spot to sit that his poops just passed the catcher lol. They are easy to wipe clean but on mine it seems some of the brown stain comes of on the wet paper towel... The mess catcher has a patern on it so it you really want to clean it, you have to take it off and lay it down and wipe it. Sometimes I just put paper on top so it would be a faster clean up. Babalu also sometimes chewed on the ends of the branches and it left little chew marks. The gym is very light and remindes me of hollow raw hide. Over all I am happy with it and I know he likes it too

Mine makes the same sound! A very high, hurt your ears chirp! He does it when he doesn't like something or nervous or when he wants attention and/or all the time! I try to ignore it but it is the worst sound! My husband gets so angry Babalu also makes a car alarm and siren that he always does together like 3 times in a row. And somehow he always knows to do it when I'm trying to put my daughter down for a nap :mad:

Ok, he's is getting crazy! Lol, he has now chewed off about 3" of the end off one of the smaller branches.

Very nice, a bit pricey though.

Tonight he decided to chew off the 2 colored wood blocks off the chain. He hasn't chew on a wood toy in forever! Guess I need to buy more since he seemed to enjoy doing it now.

The red plastic is just a small tube thing over the chain it came with. But I have it hanging on a PVC guard I made and wrapped it with vet wrap. I'll get a pic tomorow of that. It's basically 2" PVC (I think) with end caps and I screwed eye hooks on the end caps. And by I, I mean my husband lol.

I didn't make it, I got it at the Pomona Bird Mart a few weekends ago. I disinfected it with bleach water before I put him on it, just in case... I bribed him with a peanut to get on it tonight lol. It was only $18!

When my guy does this it means he wants to go somewhere other than where he is, or he is nervous about something. So I'll either move him or try and figure out what is bothering him.
