so last night after Madisons dinner, kevin got him out and had im on the couch and i go and sit down. and put my hand out for him and he bites me 5 times! he went down first really hard and fast (no noise) then looked at me to see if i moved and i didnt i just said "no biting" then he did it again 4 times really fast. he bit down really hard but not as hard as he could. does that make sense what im trying to describe? then i got up (not fast or anything). well a few minutes after i got up he bit kevin! haha. this is more challenging than i thought. i think now that he is more comfortable with us he is starting to test the waters!

thats funny you say that i sing opera to him all the time! well not "all the time" but a lot!! im just waiting for him to do it!

what color do you think that is on his wing? he does it so fast that i cant see it long enough ha. i guess it looks red and yellow?

that is sooo cute! they do look alike except madison on his "shoulders" has some yellow and orange.

Yes that is cute! The other night I said " Madison I'm cooking your dinner" He said " what?" I said it again then he said " what are u cooking?" And I told him it was so funny!!

I just got in touch with the breeder. She is so nice! She told me she GAVE Madison to her for FREE. He is half yellow nape and half blue front. She calls them blue nape. She did not have him sexed. Is that important? She said that both of his parents are great talkers and heshould be too which he is a great talker as we know; )

I didn't put anything in his water and his bowl I rinse and use the apple cider vinegar. Hope that's right

Yea I read that. He does it for his toys too. First with the ladder that I made him which he has now destroyed ha then with a foot toy then he did it three times back to back with me. Oh and he just got finished taking a shower in his waterbowl and I have videos to post tomorrow; )

OK Jay I have come to the conclusion you know everything!! Guess what... I was playing with him with him being in his cage and giving him little bits of apples and he brought it back up for me 3 times. Doea this mean he loves me? Right now I'm in my bedroom and he is in there talking like me quietly saying evertging I say to him; )

Just talked to my avian vet and she said She has never heard of it being illegal to not have a band. And that I could try calling the breeder again. She also said when she got her grey he didn't have any papers but he did have a band. Ill keep y'all posted if I ever get in touch with the breeder

Well I tried calling her And no one answered. I will call my vet now and see what she says I need to do.

we decided to just stick with madison haha didnt want him to get confused ...I am beginning to get curious about madison. i took pictures of the "paper" he came with. It says no band given. and it doesnt say whether he is a boy or girl?!?!? i was just going by what the previous owner said. which she also said he was two and now when i look at this paper i see he is 3. we still love him though:cool:

Hey y'all! Just checking in with everyone! Madison has been doing great! We got him out night before last and put him in the floor and he.climbed in my lap! He started going for the back of my foot and I moved and he hissed. I just told him no and we were fine! He went to the Dr yesterday and She said he kooked good Just needed to lose a little weight but his new diet would fix that! She also said the diet we have on would make his feathers look better in time. Jay his feathers underneath are green blue orange and red.

His Dr appt is Friday. my husband (Kevin) had him in his lap last night playing with him. i was in the room and gave him treats but i did not hold him. i talk to him all the time and i am the one who feeds him his yummy meals. I just want to hang out with him right now and us get used to each other before i start handling him right away. Kevin wants to jump right into it which is fine but i dont want Madison to bond more with kevin and end up being protective over him. I think i would be more comfortable like you said with him on the floor and do his training with him. when you say "no towels or blankets (which we didnt have to use), but a stick will do" do you mean to do the "touch it" command with the stick and everytime he does give him a treat or praise? if not what do you mean by that? are you saying once he learns that command use the stick in the cage and have him come in and "touch it"? thanks a lot!!
