  1. Hi all, I just got my baby Timneh a couple days ago. We found out he's a boy, so we named him Chico. We also got a cage and a playstand tree for him from the breeder's store. Anyway, I noticed when we were setting up the cage that there are some paint missing on one or two of the bars. I'm pretty sure it's not damaged from transportation. Is this something that will become a problem like rusting? The cage is A&E playtop 32" x 23". Same as the one here: http://www.bird-supplies.net/grey-palace-playtop.htm Anyone with similar problem? I will call the breeder but he won't be back until a few days. thanks, Eileen
  2. Thanks! They are awesome. I try my best to make them happy. I hope it's going to be a treat and not a threat for them. My female lovebird Buckee loves being center of attention, is fearless, bites and she can be a mean bully to her mate and to her human slaves. She thinks she's the leader of the flock. The male lovebird, Rexy, is very laid back, sweetest, most gentle bird i've ever had but he's a little chicken even though he's bigger one.
  3. Some pics of my two lovebirds. The green-pied is Buckee, a female. The violet one is male Rexy.
  4. Thanks Dan and Judy! I look forward to hearing advices from you guys and everyone else on the forum. i will post more picture in the photo room :-)
  5. Hi everyone, My name is Eileen. I've been reading through the forum for a few weeks to absorb as much information as I can and it's been very informative and entertaining. My husband and I are bringing home a baby Timneh grey in less than 2 weeks. He/she will be 14 weeks old. We haven't decided on a name yet but so far Chico if it's a boy and Frida if it's a girl. He/she is going to be our first big parrot so we're very excited and worried at the same time. We've been visiting him every couple of weeks. Right now we have two wonderful peachfaced lovebirds that's been living with us for 2 years. They are both hand tame and loves to hang out with us. We're hoping that they will get along with the newcomer.
