I have several of those warmers that you put the candle in and they heat them up and put off the scent. There is no fire, but are the scents dangerous?

Is it the smoke that harms the birds or the scent of the candle that harms the birds. If I had say a yankee candle tart and used the electric tart burners is that ok?

I read that you can not light a candle around your bird. Does that mean at all ? or only in the same room as the birds? What about fire places?

I am not sure which forum to post this question on. So I appologize if you have seen this question on a different forum. I hear different views about allowing your african grey on your shoulder. My sun conure sits on my shoulder all the time and loves it. Some people say the bird will dominate you. And some say they just love being closer to their human comapaion. Also how would you get him off your shoulder once you allow him to do so?

We just brought home our second parrot three weeks ago Stella. She is 5 months old and boy after having a sun conure as my first bird it's so different. I am so glad we started off having a small parrot to this amazing bigger parrot. It really helped with my confidence.

Thank you for your advice she is only 5 months old so i should probably wait until she matures and understands a little more. But she sees my sun conure up there and she really tries to sneak up my arm. I feel bad because she just wants to do what the other bird is doing.
