  1. Dave007 Thank you for your helpful information
  2. RudysMom I bought exactly the same oil like you have, in the same container AviGlo Red Palm Oil 100% certified organic. I believe I paid about $ 17 (with shipping). I bought from http://www.birdsupplies.com/AviGlo-Red-Palm-Oil-from-Avitech-p/apns-aglo.htm on they picture they have different container, but when I received it I realized it’s in different container (like on your picture), but oil itself no difference. Spinner, thank you for information, yes it’s much cheaper, next time I’ll buy that one. Also I want to ask… I remember few months ago I saw video of my friend African Grey eating Palm Fruit Extract on youtube, and I was looking to buy that Palm Fruit Extract and I could not find here in USA (my friend she lives in Europe) so, instead of Palm Fruit Extract I bought Red Palm Oil. Is that the same thing? This is my friend video please watch, sorry it’s in Russian but she showing that container and all labels in English, and that Palm Fruit Extract itself looks like Red Palm Oil, is that the same thing?
  3. I’m just wondering those two sites about red palm oil: http://www.rainforestmkt.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=RPOIL And http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU269/ItemDetail?n=0 those not for birds, but for humans? Or there’s no difference and we can give to birds too ? I bought red palm oil from http://www.birdsupplies.com/AviGlo-Red-Palm-Oil-from-Avitech-p/apns-aglo.htm my bird loves it a lot. I usually mixing a little bit with pellets and my bird just loves it! I believe daily dose of red palm oil for bird should be about 1/4 teaspoon (according to label on the container)
  4. My TAG weights 300-305 grams. I recently switch her on Harrison’s pellets so I bought grams scale just to make sure she is not losing weight, and she is doing good on it, not any changes in her weight
  5. This is important tread, I just purchase humidifier ultrasonic Sunbeam and I feel that my bird likes it too. This humidifier on amazon.com $129.99 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002RCO0KA/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00075M1ZK&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=05F57N3FCET8W5AZWRSC don’t buy there, I bought in Wal-Mart and I paid just $50, if you want to buy go to Wal-mart they have a lot humidifiers (not in pharmacy section… in section where all heaters, because in pharmacy they have only 3-4 kinds) I’m pleased with this humidifier, it works perfect, no sound at all, no filters needed and it cleans the air. I made picture for you to see , and also I want to ask about: is my humidifier too close to my bird? It seems like my bird likes the steam, she moves where the steam are, but it may be too close to my bird?
  6. Dave007 thank You very much! Your information is very helpful! I’m going to position light from above the cage to aim downward (like a natural sun). Thank you! {Feel-good-000200BB}
  7. Hello everybody! I’m new to this forum, and I have a question about the light. I’m sorry for my English, I don’t speak very well English, and I have no friends to ask. I want only good things for my bird, I don’t want to harm her in any way. I have an African Grey, and I recently bought special light with UVA + UVB, I know the bird needs sun, for vitamin D3 to digest and even her cage is next to the window but UVA UVB don’t come through the glass, so she need this light. My question is: How far from the bird this light should be? I’m afraid the light too close or too far? Also maybe somebody can tell me approximately how many hours per day she needs this light? I made picture for you to see how far my lamp from my baby, is this O.K.? or too close or too far? Thank you everybody who can give me any advise or suggestion , I’m very appreciated.
