1. Great story, made me laugh Dan!
2. Hehe, your Darius must think the bathroom is a nesting place!
3. Thanks again. I just spent extra time with her so I would be able to look at her as she being a female. Here's what I've name her rain dance.

Post edited by: christina13, at: 2010/01/18 06:46
4. My mom's grey does this ALL the time. Looks like she's digging right? I think it's some weird antic they have. highly doubt it's anything to be concerned about.

Post edited by: christina13, at: 2010/01/18 06:22
5. Thanks everyone. Today we just found out Merlin is actually a Merlynn. Haha:laugh:

Post edited by: christina13, at: 2010/01/18 00:39
6. Yeah she's normal, thanks
7. I seen this thread awhile ago, and today my Too got carsick too! She just started puking things up on the way back. It's nothing to be worried about right? That's what I'm getting out of it.
8. Well we're taking him for a regular check up since we got him 6 mo ago and he hasn't gone yet. Also going to see if theres anything wrong with him because he is real clumsy going around his cage. Maybe a beak trim and nails. I mean, he lets me pet him when he's on his cage but offering my hand to step up he usually tries to bite. I've tried the coaxing with treats. He Will step off if he gets off his cage.

Post edited by: christina13, at: 2010/01/17 03:55
9. Thanks Dave, but there is still a problem with getting him out of the cage because he won't step up and the only way he gets on the floor is if he freaks whilst on his cage and flies into something and drops to the floor.. How do I go about doing this? At least I shouldn't have to worry about a heart attack . Looking forward to 'saving' him too lol.
10. Ok I'm taking Marvin to the vet in a couple weeks, but there's a slight problem: he's terrified of the carrying cage and towels (towels because he won't step up?). I don't want him to lose all this trust in me or have a heart attack or anything like that, so how should I get him used to those? We've had the 2 carrying cages next to his house where he can see them but not very well, and it doesn't seem like he's gotten used to the sight because I had to get one out yesterday and he freaked. I've seen stuff on putting toys near their house to get them used to it, should I put a towel near it and maybe move the carrying cage too would work? Any advice would help, he's coming out more now but anywhere off his cage he's horrified
11. First, the other grey. Her name is Bailey and she's around 12 I think. She's my mom's and this bird hates me. My quaker tiki, I think she is around 15. I should add this might be the only pic I get of her, she doesn't hold still lol. And Merlin, (might be a girl?) is the most gorgeous lil birdy ever imo:). He's 12ish.

Post edited by: christina13, at: 2010/01/14 06:05
12. Haha that's what mine does. Thanks since it also makes me feel better she's just not weird. I think over time they'll get better. Mine bonded very closely with a conure which are the same size.
13. Here's the other. This was the other day.
14. Today in the hour and 15 min that I've been awake, Marvin has come out on his door 4 times! I'm so happy and he's blabbering away in there now. Seems like more progress today than the entire time we've had him. The first 2 times he's come out while I was in his room, and even let me come near him, he was trying to feed me. I've told him before if he come out I'd let him throw up on me so i did:unsure:. The other times I just looked in the room and he was hanging on his door, last time really far out too. Yay:lol:. I hope this is the right spot. I will keep posting updates. We should be going to the vet sometime before Feb. And he and Merlin are getting some toys tomorrow. Maybe he won't attack them this time.. Here are some pics. The first is his weird habit. Post edited by: christina13, at: 2010/01/09 18:09

Post edited by: christina13, at: 2010/01/09 18:19
