  1. Suggest fewer sessions with more rewards right now until your Grey friend matures a bit. I agree with Sterling that boredom may be a factor with him. Try to relax Kilaya may sense your frustration making things more difficult.
  2. The holiday season does bring those losses forward, I know how you feel it is tough. Everyone tells you to remember the good times but that always made me feel the loss even more. Time will provide your healing it just takes a while. HUGS ((()))
  3. Not a bad Mom just going with the visual clues.
  4. Goodness but they can make life more interesting than expected, Are you certain Lilly is uninjured as Koko is such a big girl with a big beak? It sounds like that should heal well with no permanent injury. The only idea I have is letting them out at separate times and I know how loud that can get.
  5. That is a beauty! Maybe moving one or two of their familiar toys to the branch would help them accept it sooner.
  6. Feeling the pain for your MIL, do travel safe and stay warm I am sure Miss G will appreciate even more when you return. She has proven she is a survivor. Hope Winter gives you a little break in time to travel.
  7. To the tune of I'm a little Teapot I'm a little Quaker, green and stout, Open up my cage and let me out. Better pick me up or else I'll squawk, Rub my tummy and then I'll talk.
  8. Adorable new girl, looks like she may gain bravery sooner than expected if she is already on top of the cage.
  9. Busy beaks are less likely to be used on the human servants.
  10. Quite a flock you have going there, now please explain "crackheads" as some may be put off by that term, understanding may help.
  11. So funny what a great start to a cold gloomy day, funny bird.
  12. Aerial I think that you just need to rinse for a longer time until the water runs clear, then drain well.
  13. Ok self diagnosis can be entertaining but I tend to follow in the same pathways myself. Took care of the Sanctuary dogs, cats, bunny's & birds before and after work last week. Now I have to catch up on my flocks cleaning and baking to say nothing of housework. Maybe we are all a little crazed. >;>
  14. We try to keep the feeders full our birds enjoy the sounds and activity through the window. Cold front arriving here right now expecting a 20 degree drop in temperature immediately (it made it over 70 prior to arrival).
  15. Agreed birds choice they know what they want. Who ever shines a little less brightly in her eyes is no less loved just not the chosen one. You cannot steer or predict their choices she may surprise you and pout or be angry with him as he has been missing. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW.
  16. Your ability to share your story with us all makes me appreciate my own flock even more, well done Lisa. Hope you get some help soon.
  17. I would wait and see if he and bird are a match first. There are many contract forms available free on line you can look at and see if any of them fit this situation. I would think if you have emails between them, printing them out where the surrender is mentioned that should cover it.
  18. Welcome and as Ray has said observation and a safe home with wholesome fresh foods may give them both an opening to give you some insight into their previous situations. If you read through some others tales of following a re homed bird through their unpacking of past lives you may learn a little more. It sounds like you have the patience, fortitude and the love needed to get them to a happy life.
  19. A whirling dervish moment from Gil girl, she is always seeking a new way to communicate and express herself. she landed in the right home to keep growing and trying new methods.
  20. In all fairness maybe she did the damage after the Vet visit? Who knows for sure, poor Pat any quiet ever happen for him?
  21. Owee that does look sore, brave girl Gabby but less weight would help her.
