  1. What happened with Lilo and Judygram? I've been off the forum for a while. Last I knew, Lilo was in search of a new home.
  2. Just a question that came up because I've been thinking of adding another grey. Can a male and a female coexist peacefully in the same household? I have two females, and was considering adding another because I adore them so much. But I wondered if I'd need to make sure any new bird I adopted was female? Would a male stir up all kinds of hormones in the girls and make things miserable for everyone? The LAST thing I want is to breed. Did that once with cockatiels and it was heartbreaking and I was a wreck the whole time. Does anyone here have males and females living together that are not breeders?

    Itchy grey

Cool--The next time I go out, I'll pick some up. Gotta get my poor girl more comfortable.

LOL--I think I will. So I just buy the aloe vera juice and use it full-strength? Is it thin enough to spray, or do I use it some other way?

    Itchy grey

Hello, I just found the forum by "accident" because the usual bird forum I belong to (theperch.net)appears to be down today. I'm hoping for some advice re my poor, itchy grey. Optimus has been a bit ratty from the day I adopted her two years ago. I've tried everything--daily baths, red palm oil, better diet. Nothing seemed to work. Then, my dehumidifier broke down, and Optimus started to look really awesome! (Humidity was about 75% in her room) And she seemed more comfortable, too. Long story short, got a new dehumidifer, and Opti looks ratty again. I don't mind a ratty bird, but she also seems so itchy. I want her to be comfortable. I've got the dehum. set to 65%, but I don't want to go higher than that for fear of mold. People have suggested aloe, and I've looked all over for an aloe spray. Exactly what kind of aloe do I use, and where do I find it? How do I get my poor girl more comfortable? She is the most awesome, gentle, entertaining, smart bird. I want the best for her. Oh, and she has been tested for EVERYTHING by my avian vet! All normal.
