thanx for the warm welcome ,i dont think i will manage to get him upstairs into the shower he gets a bit nervous at new surroundings, im just going to try the paint tray with water in for him ,, without the paint:laugh: he still just sits and looks at it but i will keep on trying, have u any ideas on some homemade toys i can make for him his toys are getting a bit worn and chewed to bits thanx

yes the clucking noises are a mating noise, i had a look on utube, i thort as he gets a little excited when he makes them haha wot a shame he wants me to be his m:angry: ate cant he not tell im dont look like a parrot !!!! Also i have noticed underneath him the bit where he does his buisness contracts aswell.

hi diane, and welcome to the site all of us are parrot mad on here. Have u got your new baby grey yet they all look adorable on the pic, i have had my grey for nearly two years now and he is a delight to have around, u will have such joy and fun times ahead, im still learning with him trying to bath him at minute early days but he does like a good spray with a spray bottle. Try and post some new pics of your baby as he gets a little older would be nice to see him or her grow.

hi everyone my name is gill iam from washington in england, i have a african grey called bertie, he is fab, talks alot and eats a lot, just trying at the minute to bathe him not luck as yet, he loves a spray of water but not a bath will keep on trying. He says hello , how are u today, its fantastic,and loads of other stuff he kisses me goodnight and loves being stroked i love him 2 bits :kiss:

thank you for your reply i will have to practice my clucking sounds !!!! i thort it might be because he was getting a bit excited and a little frisky but im not sure, he is just over 2 now and he talks all the time he is just great the best pet ever !!!

can anyone tell me why my african grey is making these strangle clucking noises, its like a duck noise and sounds so cute. Its usually when iam stroking him and he also wants to get on my hand at the same time as making the noises.........gill
