1. ty all again this morning he showed little interest in his AM feeding! My baby is weaning himself and at a quick rate he's growing up LOL. I guess he is relizing the real stuff taste better;) Thanks again for all the support I've been getting, u all are great ppl and greatly appreciated. You've made my trasition into new baby grey mom alot easier and less stressful.
2. ok... another question. My baby is 11 1/2 wks old, 2 of the last 3 days he has only been interested in his morning and nite feedings ( this i know is normal) but this morning he showed no interest in him morning feeding either. I dont know if I should make him more formula and try again or just skip it. He is not whining for it, and when I got him out of his cage for his feeding he took his 1st flight so I dont know if he was excited over that and worked up so maybe thats why he didnt eat. he does eat his fresh fruits and veggies and his pellets. not tons of them but he does eat. Thanks in advance for any and all advise
3. and here is my baby Lil Einstein 11 1/2 weeks old
4. ohhhh I know there are good breeders I wish I would have encountered one of them. But in the next breath I love my lil guy so much and can atleast be thankful that he WILL have a great and loving future!! I just wish I could resuce his sibling too. this is my Lil Einstein Post edited by: treyversmom, at: 2009/08/05 17:09

Post edited by: treyversmom, at: 2009/08/05 17:10
5. plink... I know ur feeling, ur getting a one year health guarantee which is GREAT... the "breeder" I got mine from gives a 10 day one. woohooo! and when I was there to pick up my baby I never recieved the guarantee paper, she told me it was still at the persons house that was hand-feeding the babys for her.Well after I left her home with the baby, I emailed her and told her I'd like the paperwork, then I was told I left the house with and un-weaned baby there was only a 2 day guarantee which of course is not longer valid. I've had him for about a week and a half now and so far he seems healthy! I thank god for that. and I'd also like to thank Dave and the others for there reponses! And a heads-up for anyone in Michigan looking for a baby, beware of a breeder in Sparta!!
6. to be alittle more clear, he puts his beck in the far corner and scrathes with his foot and kinda whines when he does it
7. my baby Lil Einstein is 11 1/2 weeks old, or at least that what im told, but today he started going to the bottom of his cage and scrathing at it?? is this normal or something I should be concerned with?? He's taking his feedings good and picking at his fruits and veggies. Its not a constant thing but i've caught him doing it a few times.

Post edited by: treyversmom, at: 2009/08/05 02:38
8. Kiwi is my 13 year old, I got him when he was 9. The older lady who got him as a baby was having health issues and could no longer care for him... He will be with me until I am old and can no longer do it And my babys name is Lil Einstein (my 6 yr old son named him). They are both great, although my older one I'm having eatting issues with since bring the baby home, I had to move the baby into another room (yesterday) but Kiwi still isnt eating well. None of his pellets, I've actually started giving him the hand-feeding formula yesterday because i'm starting to get concerned. And ty for the welcomes to the forum!
9. I guess i'm not sure where I should start. 1st off I have had no experience with hand-feeding until I got my 10 1/2 wk old african last Sunday, the so-called breeder, showed me 1 time how to feed him and sent me on my way. (thank god for the net) which is where i've turned to for videos and advise. I guess my question is "is there a way to get the breeder investagated and maybe closed down?" I know this seems harsh but on her site tonite she updated that she has a 14 wk old baby ready to go, only problem is its the same bird from my babys cluch, which is now just 11 1/2 wks old, and she states its eatting food and ready to go. when I confronted her she says its a different baby, but the same baby was listed yesterday as 11 weeks old. Not to mention I have caught her in numerous lies during the past 4 weeks i've dealt with her, she has had 3 complaints filed with the BBB in the last 18 months. I just feel really sorry for the birds in her care and want to do anything I can to make sure these innocent creatures get the start to life they deserve.

12. ok... thank u for the help I'm just worried about him. I kinda thought it may be a jealousy thing but was'nt for sure. I hope he starts eatting soon
13. I have a 12 year old cag that up until the last couple days has been a good eater, last Sunday I brought home a 10 week old cag and now Kiwi wont touch his food. He will eat treats still, but not the healthy stuff. I can put him on the floor with the baby and he tries to feed him, talk to him, so I dont know why he wont eat. He seems to like the baby. Any suggestions?
