Yes I took him to an avian vet and this was just the other day. I used to take my cockatiel to the same vet. I agree it seems strange that he said nothing is wrong.

I am really concerned about my African Grey. I have taken him to the vet and they said everything was fine. The problem is he is abnormally quiet(he talked all the time) and his breathing seems louder, and has had some slight discharge coming from his nose. His appietite is normal and he is drinking water regularely. Does anyone have a clue why he may be acting like this? I have had him for 9 years now and im the only owner he's ever had. I should also mention the vet said his behavior is the way it is because he is going through a molt, which is strange because he has never been like this before.
